At a glance
- 5,753 job listings in 90 days (5,753 of the 5,754 Tanqeeb reported)
- The labels say Rabat 70% and Boulemane 20%; both are board defaults. Where the city is written into the title, Casablanca leads with 39%, then Rabat 20%
- 14% come from car, aerospace and engineering companies (Safran, ALTEN, LEONI, Yazaki, Lear)
- 36% are posted by Rekrute, a Moroccan job board, through Bayt
- 8 of 5,753 show a salary: the lowest of all nine countries so far
- Only 11.5% are repeats, among the lowest in the series
How the data was collected
Tanqeeb is a job aggregator with a site per country. Morocco had 5,754 listings in the last 90 days, so one search was enough: 288 result pages, none failed. The scraper (an Apify Actor) then removes duplicates by listing ID: 5,753. Tanqeeb's terms don't prohibit this, its robots.txt allows the pages used, and no personal data was kept.
1. The city labels are wrong
Tanqeeb's labels put 70% of Morocco's listings in Rabat and 20% in Boulemane, a small province in the Middle Atlas. Neither is real:
- Bayt labels every Morocco listing "Rabat" (3,802 of 3,802).
- Naukri Gulf labels 60% of its listings "Boulemane" (1,150), including Stellantis assembly managers and ALTEN engineers whose work is nowhere near it.
Rekrute, though, writes the city at the end of its job titles ("Sales Manager | Casablanca (Morocco)"). For the 1,669 Rekrute listings that do, the picture looks like Morocco's economy:
| City (from Rekrute titles) | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Casablanca | 656 | 39.3% |
| Rabat | 339 | 20.3% |
| Marrakech | 77 | 4.6% |
| Fès | 54 | 3.2% |
| Tangier | 53 | 3.2% |
| Agadir | 42 | 2.5% |
| Meknès | 40 | 2.4% |
Nouaceur (30) and Bouskoura (24) sit next to Casablanca, which adds to its lead. This covers Rekrute's listings only, but it is the only place in this dataset where the city is actually written down.
2. Cars and planes
Car, aerospace and engineering companies
| Group | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Car, aerospace and engineering companies | 805 | 14.0% |
| Hotels | 578 | 10.0% |
| IT services and call centres | 341 | 5.9% |
Safran (340) and ALTEN (224) lead, followed by the wire-harness makers LEONI, Yazaki and Lear and the aerospace supplier Hexcel. Together they show Morocco's automotive and aerospace industry, concentrated around Casablanca (Nouaceur), Tangier and Kenitra. (Arrow Electronics, an electronics distributor with 131 listings, is not counted in this group, and neither are 51 LEONI listings for its plant in Egypt that are labelled Morocco.)
Hotels (Marriott 209, Accor 147, Four Seasons 84, The Ritz-Carlton 48) post 10% of listings, but only 45 of them name a Moroccan city in the title, so where they are cannot be checked.
IT services and call centres (Capgemini, Devoteam, Intelcia, Foundever and others) add 5.9%, plus customer-service and language roles posted through Rekrute.
3. Rekrute: a Moroccan board inside Bayt
| Board | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Bayt | 3,802 | 66.1% |
| Naukri Gulf | 1,922 | 33.4% |
| Everything else | 29 | 0.5% |
2,082 of Bayt's Morocco listings are posted by Rekrute, a Moroccan job board, for its own clients. So 36% of everything in this dataset comes from one Moroccan source. There are no LinkedIn listings for Morocco on Tanqeeb.
4. Eight salaries
Out of 5,753 listings, 8 show a salary: 1 on Bayt (out of 3,802), 2 on Naukri Gulf (out of 1,922), and 5 that Tanqeeb posted itself. That is 0.1%, against 1.5% in Jordan, 2% in Qatar and 12.8% in the UAE. There is nothing to compute a typical salary from.
5. What the jobs look like
| Category | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | 620 | 10.8% |
| Information Technology | 583 | 10.1% |
| Engineering | 507 | 8.8% |
| Accounting, Finance & Banking | 466 | 8.1% |
| Logistics, Supply Chain & Procurement | 443 | 7.7% |
| Human Resources | 320 | 5.6% |
| Administration | 318 | 5.5% |
| Customer Service | 272 | 4.7% |
- 99.8% full-time, 97.1% on-site; remote or hybrid 3%.
- No titles in Arabic: French and English, with French common (around 600 titles), as you would expect in Morocco.
- The most repeated title is "Product Specialist" (62), 60 of them from Aspen Holdings.
6. When listings appear
- 28Sun
- 57Mon
- 75Tue
- 88Wed
- 73Thu
- 73Fri
- 43Sat
Morocco's weekend is Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday is the busiest day (88 new listings on average), Sunday the quietest (28); Saturday still gets 43.

The top-city row is left out on purpose: for Morocco the label is a board default, not a place.
What this data does not show
- Listings on one aggregator, not every job in Morocco, and not hires. ANAPEC (the public employment agency) and Rekrute's own site carry jobs that may not reach Tanqeeb.
- City labels are board defaults; only Rekrute's titles give a real city, and only for its own listings.
- 51 LEONI listings are for its plant in Egypt, labelled Morocco (kept as published).
- A missing salary does not mean a job is unpaid.
